Core Values

Core Values

by on Apr.10, 2009, under Core Values

Our core values are what we desire to embody as a people.  They are all rooted in the character of Jesus and he alone gives us the power to embody our values, to live out our vision, and to fulfill our mission.

Authentic.  Truth is not something to be invented but something to be discovered.  It is rooted in and has been revealed through the life and teachings of Jesus.  He alone is authentic, real, and true.  It is living out the authentic life of Jesus that will bring true freedom, healing, and joy to a culture that has stopped believing in Divine truth.

Holistic.  All of reality was created to show forth the truth and beauty of Jesus.  Every thought, feeling, and action is sacred and reveals who or what we value and worship.  Holistic worship roots together in Christ the mystic and the activist, the thinker and the feeler, and removes all separation of the sacred from the secular.

Communal.  God is a person who exists in eternal loving relationship as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  Humans are made in God’s image as relational beings with a genuine need for community.  Jesus was sent by his Father to establish a community of people who together can model the love and unity that is rooted in the Trinity.

Reformissional.  Jesus sends his people on mission and calls them to be both faithful to his Word and relevant to their culture.  Reformisson is the continual process of transformation in which the church finds new forms and methods to communicate ancient and rooted truths to an ever-changing culture.
